Congratulations, Andrew!

We have been waiting all summer for Andrew’s “orchestra letter” that tells us what Orchestra he will be in this next school year. The letter came earlier this week.

Typically, 7th graders go into Intermediate or Philharmonic Orchestra…Andrew, however, made it into Symphony Orchestra. He wanted Chamber Orchestra (highest), but he made it into Symphony Orchestra (one step down).

I am so proud of him! He really does play the cello beautifully although he’s only been playing at school for 2 years and has only had a steady private instructor for less than a year.

It is simply amazing to watch the kids find their talents and to watch those talents blossom with time and practice. Sometimes it doesn’t always click, but this is something that Andrew has truly found his groove.

I can’t wait to go out and buy his new books for him.
